About Bodhisattva Yoga

What is a bodhisattva?

A bodhisattva (Skt., pronounced, bo-di-saat-va) is one who combines wisdom and compassion to aid others in overcoming their suffering. These altruistic individuals endeavor in practices aimed at realizing their own enlightened nature to fully help, please and guide sentient beings.

Bodhisattva Yoga recycles, uses wind power and recycled paper products.

At this beautiful space one can enjoy a friendly, non-competitive place to practice in.

Bodhisattva Yoga is directed byVivekan, who is largely appreciated for what he has coined as Inspired FlowsTM . Inspired FlowsTM are the spontaneous sequencing of poses generally based on the Sun Salutation. Without a script or any preset programme, these flows are entirely unique from one class to another. "There's no contradiction in balancing: mindfulness, breath, form, flow, strength & power. Bodhisattva Yoga is where instructor & student come together to share their growth & practice."

Vivekan began practicing yoga in 1995 with only a book as a guide. Certified & teaching since 1999, he has studied with many esteemed instructors & maintains a practice of asanas, study and sitting. He is blithe, dynamic and committed to helping others enjoy greater ease in body & mind.
"H.H. the Dalai Lama, Sifu Sheng Yen, Sermey Khensur Lobsang Tharchin, and other masters, have given me tools to develop my heart & mind. My dear friend, Serge Ledan, continues to patiently counsel me in the development of heart & mind."
