Jessica began her practice under the influence of her mom and Rodney Yee's home video series. After moving to Park Slope a handful of years later, she started to study under Vivekan at Bodhisattva Yoga. She came to appreciate yoga as a means to not just benefit herself—but the world and people around her. She doesn't find it coincidental that as her practice deepened, she became an environmental journalist and an active voice in the green movement. As a teacher, she hopes to draw out her students' inner and outer rock stars and spur positive community action on a local and worldwide scale. A graduate of Bodhisattva Yoga's Teacher Training Program, Jessica is honored to teach here and owes relentless thanks to her teacher, Vivekan, and her parents, Keli and Jeff.
Kelly Eudailey began practicing yoga ten years ago as a welcome antidote to life in the dance world. She received her yoga teacher training in the Ishta yoga lineage at Be Yoga, which focuses on adapting yoga practice to the individual's needs. Kelly enjoys teaching at Bodhisattva Yoga because there is ample opportunity for personal attention and care in each class. She is drawn to Bodhisattva's community roots, impeccable space and the studio's commitment to yoga as a life practice.
Kristin Hoesl, having recently completed her Bodhisattva Yoga 200 hour Level I yoga certification, with Vivekan, is thrilled and excited to start teaching here. Originally from Long Island, Kristin holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University and has lived in Park Slope for several years. After a short stint in the acting business, she started training clients in the Pilates method in October of 2005 and has been teaching ever since. After starting her yoga practice in the spring of 2006, she spent some time looking for a certification program that was right for her. How lucky she was to stumble upon this wonderful shala right in her home neighborhood! Kristin is very active and participates in many activities to stay strong and healthy, including Pilates, running, boxing, and of course, yoga. She loves helping people realize their full potential of strength and flexibility, and is attracted to yoga not only for its obvious physical benefits, but for its positive effect on the mind. The practice of yoga has helped her to live her life in a healthier and more peaceful way, and she hopes to inspire others in the way that Vivekan has inspired her.

Zaria
Since childhood I have struggled with a severe case of Scoliosis (curvature of the spine). In 1999 I came to yoga as a way to take responsibility for the health of my mind and body. Time I had spent in South East Asia, a few years prior, had already peaked my interest. I soon became well aware of the valuable benefits one reaps from a dedicated practice. In 2005 I took a Hatha yoga teacher training course at The Birchwood Center. After teaching various classes and private lessons for a year, I moved to Brooklyn in November 2006 and Bodhisattva Yoga caught my eye (my dog's name is Bodhi). From my first class, I was immediately drawn to the peaceful sanctuary that Vivekan has created. Knowing that I could learn a great deal from his vast knowledge of yoga, I was excited to continue my practice there.
In addition to teaching yoga, I am a full-time artist. Each passion fuels the other. Making art is a meditation for me and I enjoy incorporating my creative energy into my classes.
